man, can you imagine wailin' away with a guitar hooked up to 1200 watts of marshall power flowin' through 144 celestions???

man i'd give my back molars to be able to do that just once. only they're gone already (lol...)

what an awesome legacy to leave for the world.....

Pretty much every year, since the 90's, when I went to Namm in L.A., without even thinking about it...I would head to the Marshall booth to see Jim. He was always so kind and simply himself, just like seeing someone I knew for years.
We would talk amps second, and just life in general, First.
He was the real deal.

All i can say is that if he did not like you then you would see another side of him, not nice at all. I hope by me saying this i will not be seen to be disrespectful.

As with most people of note or in the public eye, when on show you see one side of them (a PR side) but there is always another side to most people.
Not all, but many. Particularly those who rise to the top in business.

I think it's really easy to "he said/she said" someone after they're deceased.

For an English drummer boy James Marshall OBE made damn good guitar amps.

It's also not hard to see the strange marketing and production by Marshall as a company since the Guvnor's passing.

I for one wouldn't buy any current products.

The future doesn't look promising either.
