Nice one Vortexion, good to see you're still with us,

I think another method is to have a one in parallel to a preamp anode resistor (with accompanying series resistor) e.g. mullard 5-20 circuit. Referred to as a phase advance. My experiments prove they are not really necessary in a guitar amp scenario..

I have way more experience with late 60s early 70s stuff but had never seen one with the cap over the feedback resistor!! lots of cool shit and info in some of the previous post!!! thanks guys
