Hey all...selling a Nolan amp on ebay. Since they are pretty obscure, thought it would be a good idea to let you guys know it was there. It works, but needs some attention and I don't have the time for it. PM if you have questions. Item number 110464498954.

Hello, thanks for the notification. I currently have a Nolan 100w and am looking for a second one so I can run a pair on stage. If anyone has any other leads worth following up I would be most grateful. I currently play bass, and had my Nolan serviced with bias adjusted accordingly. New master (period looking I hasten to add) volume control. I have a telecaster replica bass with MM pickups through the Nolan and out through two 4x12 Marshall Cabs. Very sweet I can say - works brilliantely for the rock trio I play in. Cheers

Hi Foxen,
I recently bought a Flame amp as mentioned here: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=22061

It's on the way as we speak. Can you shed some light on the history of Nolan amps and the nature of the circuits? Seems some people call them Fender copies, some Marshall copies, and some Hiwatt copies.

Pretty sure that is down to the fact some were Marshall copies,l some were Fender copies and some were Hiwatt copies. Although preamp wise those had a bunch of common ground. Going to photo up and blog the Nolan later tonight.

Can you shed a little light on this amp for me? What is the nature of this circuit? Any history would be appreciated!

Looks very much like a Kelly, and similar to a Selmer (which were related to Kelly).

I reckon the three are virtually interchangeable, based on the (possibly incorrect) assumption that I have a T&B 50 Reverb chassis fitted in the Flame 2x12 combo I bought recently. I shall have to take it out of the cab and have a look at the circuitry.
