Holland Lil' Jimi combo

Postby Jim L on Mon Aug 08, 2005 4:31 pm

I've got a Holland Lil Jimi that I bought used a year or so ago. It's quite a cool combo. The only mods that I know of that had been done by a previous owner was a Celestion speaker and some Fender tilt-back legs.

It's pretty powerful, and cuts through the mix in a great way... but like many amps, it sounds best when turned up, so it tends to be to much for small rooms.

Anyway... can anyone tell me about the history of these amps? Now that Holland Amps are no longer made, there's no company website. (and I know that Heritage amps, while some have tried to connect them, is not associated in any way to Holland)

I've always felt it was a bit of a Super Reverb mixed with a Vox, (using the "sweep" control to go from one to the other), but some have suggested the circuit to be based on the Bassman and JTM45.
