According to the April 1981 Guitar Player story:

Dave Hlubek: "Mesa Boogie power heads"

Duane Roland: "three Peavey 150-watt heads and a like number of 4x12 cabinets." MXR Flanger/Doubler, "only effect" for "a little fuller sound."

Steve Holland: "four Peavey 160-watt heads and four 4x12 bottoms, and for effects, he uses only an MXR flanger/doubler and a Peavey dual-10 stereo graphic equalizer."

Hmm... I've always liked the tone on that song.

Please don't tell me I've fallen (and can't get up) for Mesa Booger and Peepee tone! :D

Also, they did a kick-@$$ version of "Dreams" from "The Allman Brothers". Wicked guitar leads in that one. One of my favorites by them. <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v82/FILTHYJOE/SMILEYS/pirate.gif" alt=" - " />

That is a great minimalist version for sure. Whatever happened to those guys? How about the Outlaws/Henry Paul? I really love playing that stuff!

I got a Peavey Festival head I'm using for a doorstop in the shop if one of y'all needs it for your Skynyrd/Hatchet tribute band :D

Yes the great Billy Jones passed away in '95

The "Live From the Agora Ballroom" is a great CD from the prime of MH. You can tell it's actually live -- not some doctored-up studio outtakes with crowd noise mixed in.

Couple of mistakes here and there, but what's remarkable is how tight and precise they were while staying aggressive. Great band.

The site linked in the last post also needs to be updated. Check out www.mollyhatchet.com

For one thing, "Danny Joe Brown and the Danny Joe Brown Band" is now available on CD. Of course I have it... :)
