Yes and I called the Gibson Police on you for Goldtop abuse. They're coming to take all your set neckers...

Well, it's cute. My GF and a guitar player buddy stuck a "Hello Kitty" sticker on my Daphne Blue MIM 50's classic as a joke at a jam when I wasn't looking... You should have seen the look on my face when I took it out of the case and saw the sticker on the pickguard... :wtf: My friends are still laughing about that! :laff: :laff:

I bet you are more accomplished than me...of course that is not saying much.

For me, it is a catharsis and release where I escape and enter "the zone" when I am improvising. I simply cannot remember whatever may have been troubling me before I picked up the guitar. It is a wondrous joy not really tied to talent or adulation.

It is also great therapy for the PDSD inclined.

e.g. Last night I got off the phone with the wife of my CO whose skull fragments were removed from the back of my throat...I screamed for him to get his head down at the very moment he took a direct head shot. It has been a couple of years now, but the distinct memory still resonates; I still stay in contact with all of the families of those who were close to me during my career...through good an bad. Picking up the guitar after such emails or phone calls allows me to escape almost immediately...it really works for me.

As I am edging closer to retirement, I will be spending a great deal more time learning the guitar...it [time] may be the best remedy for the physically and talent challenged (and maybe I'll get back some of what I lost).
