Original purchase order from when Wayne Charvel was working for Frank Green's Music in Cali.

Jan Van Halen brought Eddie and Alex in to buy 'em a drum set and a Les Paul. You can see here that he traded in a horn and a guitar, and financed the rest. Check out the Gibson Les Paul for $400!!!!

Thanks to Wayne Charvel for sending this over for us to see!

I gotta question. Dad bought Ed a Les Paul when he was 14?, heard about Teisco's & stuff. 18% credit interest in 1969?

They paid full price for that LesPaul, too! $473 with case, in 1969!!

I could get a new LP Std with the case in 1977 for about $400 through what is now veneman music.
When the Trumpet sounds, I'm outta this dump...

Isn't the Les Paul for Al and the drum set for Ed ?
Anyway, if it had not been for the father's decision on the day, the history of rock might be different now.
