They're adding up Marshall's. How many Ampeg's do we have?

Small combos like Mercury and Jet, Jess Oliver's fliptop Portaflex, the Gemini, Echotwin, B25, V4, VT22 up to the 300 watt SVT

4 mid 60s:
1 Gemini2
1 rocket 2
2 reverberocket 2s

That makes 290

Picked up a B-12-X head, only. Works, but has issues. Put it aside until later. Also, a non-working B-15-N in very good physical condition. Suspect a bad PT. It's waiting it's turn.

That makes 291 and 292.

Hi guys,
Just joined. I have 2 to add to the tally. A GS 12R (Reverberocket 2) and a G-15 (Gemini 2). Both mid '60s and unfortunately both need replacement cabinets.
The only ones I've found are from a company called Fliptops. Nice cabs but pricey at $400 each w S/H.
Anybody ever put something like that up for sale in the classifieds here?

TIA

Quick update on these two.

The B-12-X is working, now. Tremolo is weak, but I haven't addressed those caps in the oscillator, yet. Easy fix. Reverb is nice and strong.

The B-15-N needed a PT, and all the pots needed cleaning. That's done, and it is a fine amp. Really loud and booming. I bought it as a '60 model, which my understanding has it as the first year of this model. However, the schematic and the circuit board say it's a '65. Seems in '68, a music shop (stamped their name and hand-wrote the repair date on the schematic) replaced the entire chassis assembly with an unmolested '65. So, this one has a Guitar/Instrument channel, as well as a standard B-15 Bass channel. Scratchy pots as well, but now cleaned and lubed. And, this one is the best of the best. Really great Bass channel, and a really, really nice Guitar channel. The voicing sounds completely different from each other. I put the correct handles on the sides of the cabinet, as it is one heavy beast. The circuit board (not a tag board like the previous generations) made for a some difficult PT changeout. But well worth the trouble. Took about an hour.

Here's a couple of the B-15-N:

Notice that the tray that the chassis sits on is black, and not the blue checkered. I used my '63 B-12-XY to correctly install the handles on this one, as that one has originals. These are replicas from Fliptops, and are correct as a dealer installation, though it seems they didn't always get them 'til later.

I haven't taken any of the B-12-X. I'm not quite finished with it, but I'll have some when I am.

Another quick update on the B-15N '60/'65. It has been in the hands of three different guitarists, who can do it far better justice than I can. One of them gave a quick rundown of both channels, and spoke highly of each. He really liked the Bass. The other two only tried the Guitar/Instrument channel, and both raved at how nice it sounded. Neither mentioned overdrive, but then this is a relatively clean amp, way up on volume.

Also, an update on the B-12-X head. That one has some real issues. The tagboard has come apart on one end. It is not a fiberglass board, like in the '65. It appears like some chemical has been on the board, and disintegrated it. The components are still soldered together, and the amp works. But, I'm not sure how I will address this problem. The ideal fix would be to rebuild the board from scratch, with new components, as I don't relish the thought trying to piece out just one section. May not be as difficult as I'm trying to make it be. I'll put it way down on my to-do list, as I have some much easier fixes ahead of it.
