It seems as soon as they go into "Storytime" I immediately smell BS.
This story involves the tweed re-covering, two of the "greatest" luthiers in the world and a trade of a 73 LP.
He even included photos of the screws!!
Is screw condition vital now??!
I want a story about those screws....
I have gotten so excited seeing all those cheeseheads screws on ebay that I feel vintage Fender screws lack a venerated mojo of this seemingly inconsequencial but highly important minutiae.

Tolex story is a nice one without a shread of hard proof. Since when do Luthiers apply tolex and re-assemble them as well. Two of the Worlds Best at
that !!! :roll:
