Can anyone ID this Tweed Amp?

Postby Bigsbyguy on Thu Jul 14, 2016 7:09 pm

For Father's Day I got the box set "Sinatra - London" along with a bottle of Sinatra Select Jack Daniels! The box includes DVD's of 3 shows. One was from 1962 with the great Al Viola on guitar. He's using a Tweed amp. The accompanying booklet has a still. I'm thinking a Pro. But I'm not sure.

Too bad we can't see the shadow of the speakers through the grille cloth for positive identification but based on the height of the amp as compared to the knee of the person standing next to it my guess would be Bandmaster or Bassman.

I'd bet my hat on a 1958 Fender Pro Amp 1 x 15. Narrow panel, Same screws. Height is right for this size speaker also .

I'll bet PA100's hat on a narrow panel Pro as well!
