On all Fender amps, outputs jacks are in parallel like on most if not all amps.
In series with nothing plug in Ext Spkr jack, amp won't play.
In the amp, the 2 speakers are in parallel too

Do you want to disconnect Twin's speakers ?

2 X 16 stack = 8 ohms load
Fender Twin ; 4 ohms load

Series extension speaker jack. It is true that there are not many amps that use series wiring for the extension speaker jack. The only one that comes to mind are some of the MusicMan amps.
IT is not accurate to state that in such a series arrangement that without having something plugged into the extension jack the amp will not produce sound. the MM amps with series will run fine with a load on the main jack and nothing in the Ext Spkr jack due to the shorting jack that they use in the Ext Spkr jack. This makes the connection to the main jack from the other end of the secondary when their is not load in that Ext jack. :jam:
