1963 Vibrolux Power Transformer

Postby CptZar on Sun Feb 12, 2017 2:12 pm

Hi,

is the one with the printed numbers an original 1963 Virbolux power transformer? Please check this link..

Should't it have the Code engraved with a line below reading 606 for Schumacher and then production year and month? Point is that I find several power transformers like the one with the printed code on the net, and I doubt they all had to change the original ones....

TIA

I have never seen a code stamp on an OEM Fender TP like that. But....the 68409 PT is good for the 6G Vibrolux, and that 125P6A number is good for the 6G16 Vibroverb. IT seems you have a transition numbering system on this PT. Thanks for posting. This is informative for me.

Yes, it's original. I have a late 1961 in near mint condition. Here's a shot of the transformer side of the chassis.

I've seen that PT with 68409 125P6A painted numbers on several original Tremolux and Vibrolux amps from late 1961 and early 1962.
