The owner has a bit of an attitude. Tolex looks too new and I'm not sure about the transformers

I'd want a closer look at that mark where the serial number should be - Has it been ground off?

The owner says it's the "early pink tolex" he also mentions that we could sell the replaced caps on eBay to "suckers", which is worrisome. The speakers look like Webers, but he says they're Fender, not sure why has the need to lie about that, as Webers are fine speakers.

The OT is correct. The tolex is probably ok ... the light tannish/pink is peculiar to november 1960 like mine.

Baffleboard, tolex (the folds on the corners are wrong and too neat), all caps, speakers are from a bassman re-issue.

Just like mine stratele52 :) . Youre prolly right about tolex etc Dave ... color would need to be seen in person ... I don't think you could match the original color these days tho.

Considering the non-originality of this amp, I consider it a player. The tolex doesn't appear original to my eye, either. As a player amp, the value is up to the buyer. IF one thinks that that amp in that condition is worth $2K, then they are paying a premium imho for the work done by Pete Cage. IF you are going to pay a premium, you could do worse than to pay a premium for Mr. Cage's work. I would be wanting to pay a bit less than that for it just because the amp is non-original is a number of ways. ymmv....
Those speakers are the Eminence blue frame Alnicos that came in the early Bassman RI amps as noted above. Excellent sepakers, ime.
