I walked across a nature-made bridge a few days ago. Water flowed down a mountain, and slowly eroded the mountain rock to the point where it bore a hole through a certain section. It is now a bridge of sorts. It was awesome.

Now we're talkin'
Say something about getting "YOUR SOUND" and we can CONTROL this forum.
Just trying to use the space we've been given for something cuz either SOUND CONTROL was to broad to be useful or the topic is pretty much covered in other forums.
In other words "I WANT TO READ ABOUT HOW YOU FIRST GOT YOUR SOUND!" Then about how you got the sound again later with a different amp setup and WHY you think it was able to do the job.
I AM CURIOUS!!!!

How I got my sound;

1) I plugged my guitar into my amp
2) I played it

I'm failing to understand quite what you're getting at here.
Most guys aren't aware how they got their sound, it just kinda happened/happens.
Some of us just have guitars, cords and amps and just get on with it. No messin'.
The thing that made a difference to me was getting a decent amp (JCM800 4104 after a cheap Carlsbro SS combo) and it forced me to play hard.
My sound as such just developed by having less gain than previously, and really digging in (was a pretty heinous string breaker for a few years though!)
Git orffff moi lannnddddd!!
