Third Eye Blind using Mojave Sidewinder, Coyote and Alinco Blue 2X12 cab

Category: Mojave Ampworks

Stephan Jenkins of Third Eye Blind has been an avid user of the Mojave Coyote and more recently the Mojave 30 Watt Sidewinder.

Back in 2007, I did a guitar show up in San Rafael which is in Northern California. I had most of our Marshall JTM45s at the time. I had brought the full line of Mojave Ampworks with me for the guitar show visitors to check out. It just so happens that Stephen Jenkins checks us out and had the chance to blast the Coyote head. He soon after contacted me and ordered one sent up to his studio in San Francisco. It was very flattering to hear how much he liked our amp and it turns out he used it exclusively live and in his studio recordings. I had taken the Mojave line up to the San Rafael in 2008 and there was a meeting set up for us to have the Sidewinder set up and again the amp was tested and ordered sent to the studio. This time the latest album done by Third Eye Blind was recorded with a number of amps.

The Mojave Coyote and the Mojave Sidewinder were both a major part of the guitar tones according to Sean Beresford,  Third Eye Blind Studio engineer and main all around guitar tech and gear master. Sean was quit cool about getting things done logistically for us. November, 2008 we made a a trip down to San Diego where the band was doing a concert. We took these shots back stage before the show.
